If that's a 747, that is engine #2 in the pic...engine #1 would be to the left out of the picture

Isn't that the left wingtip visible on the far left of the pic, though? No sign of engine...

I think what you are confusing is the shadow of the engine mount which is attached under the wing. If you look for the trailing edge flap above the engine in the pic, you can barely see that it continues out of the picture frame and that's where you will find the mount for engine #1

You're right. I finally saw it.
This confirms the suspicion that I'm slowly going blind.
