Is your cable conn going out or are you just losing conn to AH? Either way check for conflicts with your NIC, usb and sound card. They seem to be the top three. Maybe your HD controller. I assume the cable guy had to install the NIC, I'd start there.

what kinda cable connectin tv/dsl or dish?
i had a whole lot of trubble with adsl first , but can easy be fixed.

go for dsl if you can, it won't be as fast for downloads and general web surfing...but for gaming purposes it blows the doors off of cable.
running 25-30 ms ping with NO packet loss on dsl all the way up here in Canada.

I am currently on cable but am moving to San Antonio and considering a dsl connection instead of Roadrunner. First it is obvious that any high bandwidth connection blows the doors off any dialup IMO. You seem very happy with your DSL, does it ever give you problems? I regularly get 150-400 KBS transfer rates on DL's, how fast is DSL? Does a heavy cloudbank or snowstorm parked over you dish slow or interupt your connection?

I get 75-90 KBS On DSL. Not bad for the price.

Connections are fine, 60-90  Pings to HTC.
