Title: Skuzzy, Loopback in my connection.
Post by: fuzeman on July 09, 2004, 03:05:58 PM
Hi Skuzzy or net gurus. I've recently noticed 'loopbacks' when I ping HTC. Is it time for a new dial up number or maybe a new ISP?
Your thoughts?  Here's a pingplot.

PS- I know the state of this connection is lousy and in fact I lost UDP  proir to this. I was able to connect ok after the time I lost UDP.

Heres one from Friday July9th at 9:30 Pm.
The quality is alot better but loopbacks are still there. I know I have some packet loss.
Are the 3 loopback just stuff going back n forth creating increasing my ping times? I assume they are.

That's one thing I forgot add, my info.
Earthlink dialup currently @40,000bps but I think usually in the high 35k range. It's not a Win modem and using W98se.
This was one of the dialup numbers that did not have a path through Sprintlink. I'll check for others though.
I also have a pingplot from July 1st with loopbacks.
