Any lawyers out there in the AH community that know about patents?
-
Apparently no.

Kids today! Why can't they fetishize Fascist military hardware like normal people?
Ladysmith wants you forthwith to come to her relief
Burn your briefs you leave for France tonight
Carefully cut the straps of the booby-traps and set the captives free
But don't shoot 'til you see her big blue eyes

To obtain a solid patent, be prepared to pay a minimum of 10k...in addition, and perhaps more importantly, be prepared to defend it. Patent defense is most common and can run into the tens of thousands.
Unless your idea is very unique, I would advise foregoing the patent process and manufacturing and selling as much as possible, as quickly as possible.
There are many companies which specialize in "knocking off" other peoples ideas. They will have no fear of litagation by you unless you have a large pool of money for patent defense.
What a wonderful world we live in eh? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Btw...I'm not a lawyer, but I play one on TV (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) Oh....and I've paid plenty of them over the years, thus my above advice comes to you at a bargain...only 100.00/hour! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
