It is easy enough to squelch various channels that are filled with inanities and language filter circumventing except for channel 2, the Country Channel. HT could you give us that too? Please?
-
Yes, please, please, please!!!!!!!!
My reasoning for it is because fairly often my squad may be working an area or base that has friendlies also working and our squad communications get broken up, and totaly wreck our line of communications because someone locally decides they feel the need to be chatty.
When there is a huga cap on a base with many working it we need the communication lines available and open. It is fine when others are announcing pertinant info about what is going on but when someone decides they are so excited to see oil on the cockpit for the first time or they want to discuss their 3 legged dog in detail it can realy sukk.
If not a squelch local command, how bout something similiar to check 6 that says " hey dude, shut the hell up"!!!
:D

I conducted a quick search on the BBS. This is only a fraction of the threads that adress/request such a feature in AH1 and now in AH2.
These are all squelch threads. Some are older and HTC has granted some of the request.
Country Squelch isn’t one of them.
They will probably have no choice but to implement a country squelch eventually. On account of the behavior getting worse every day on country channel.

so you're saying the arena generals are now louder than ever, and getting more insistent that people do what they say?
tsk.
but i agree i'd love to be able to squelch ch 2 at times.

I have wanted a Range Channel squelch so badly the last 2 weeks... it's been almost impossible to carry on squad comms without some bezoar(*) breaking in with a running description of "how-can-that-plane-still-be-flying-I-filled-his-prettythang-with-100-rounds-of-20mm-this-game-sux" diatribe.
Room channel radio squelch would be magnificent.

Yeah, squelch really needs to be able to work on 2 and range, plus permasquelch is needed as well.
culero (its only a coincidence this is right after a Shane post ;) )

Cant ya just change the radio channel on the range channel to say 105 for example or some other largely unused channel?
Thought this was possable but I may be wrong

Well... last I tried to set the radio I was using for Range Channel to some random channel and room chatter still came through, I simply couldn't respond back.

For the love of dog please enable range squelch...
Range vox is a good tool but the feature is being abused by many to further personel agenda, including the berating of players for not playing the generals preferred way.. But I suppose one could just tell the abusers to STFU-that would solve the problems yeah right...
IKON

A seperate volume control for range voice would solve the problem.

No. I am saying that ppl on range channel are using more and more rude comments and foul language than ever before. The F bomb gets dropped at least 4 or 5 times in a 1 to 2 hour session. Sometimes in general conversation but it usually starts with a Chk6 complaint or a Stolen Kill.
That’s what i am saying. And i am saying it with out the sarcasm that you so eloquently use most of the time.

You speaketh my mind Raptor. :)
Squelching a few "Country Generals" is simple. Im sure ppl have felt it necessary to squelch me too. It has been requested that there be a "Permanent Squelch List" for this type of thing. I would welcome it as would others. But sometimes entire conversations on Range Voice get filthy and foul in content. Or just interfere with Squad Ops. We have now way of shutting it off or turning it down at present.
Yeah...i agree that Country Range Voice channel should be squelchable.

Now theres an idea. But i would think that a "Dot Command" would be easier to implement. Either way would be great.
