Hey bud,

Noticed that you are from SW Virginia. Where 'bouts? I grew up in SW VA myself. Miss it much. Out in Denver now, and I still think the Blue Ridge Mtns are better..lol

Im in Botetourt, about 15 minutes east of Roanoke.  Its more in central VA than SW, but we say we're in SW. :D

Sweet! I am from Roanoke. Was back in town a few months ago to help open our new station at Roanoke Regional Airport (I work for SkyWest Airlines / United Express, Im currently in Denver). Had a blast and got to see a bunch of family. My brother lives out in Bonsack on the Roa/Bot border. Just miss the heck outta that place..lol

! I drive by Roanoke Regional at least twice a week doing something.  Were you there since they put up the new ATC tower?

I live about 200 feet from the Bot/Roa border, not but about 1/4 mile away from Bonsack.

Yup, I did get to see that new tower. Finally, they'll be able to actually see that stretch of runway thats been out of sight line from the old tower. Thats a bit unsettling to see that sign "This area is not visable from tower" in bold letters, when passing by.
I'll probably be back in town sometime soon, to check on things and visit with family some more. Nothing like a good homecoming.
BTW....I couldn't agree with you more on the B-24.....Love that plane, bro
