Office Max puts all kinds of stuff on sale that’s free or nearly free after a bunch of rebates.  I buy that stuff all the time.  This weekend they offered a Mad Dog sound card for 99 cents. after rebates.  I bought one, installed it, and have not had the major sound problems that I was having since patch 4 or so came out.  I’m not sure if the onboard sound on my ECS K7AMA MOBO went partially bad, or if AHII with patches was just too much for it to handle.
