Who's gonna tap this market online (And do it the right way)??? Let's look at these non-missile, A/C that were used to dogfight over the Korean Peninsula:
Gloster Meteor: Excellent Ground support and escorted B29's.
Lockheed F-94 Starfire: All-weather fighter with after burner that escorted B29's for night escort.
Mig-15: 100 MPH faster than the F-80C, with a top speed near Mach 1.
Lockheed F-80:Delegated to close air support after the arrival of the F86.
North American F-86: Slow rate of climb but could out-run Mig15's in a dive.
F-82 Twin Mustang: Fighter-bomber and night interceptor.
F3D SkyKnight:Long range escort for B29's.
F4U Corsair:Superb fighter/bomber/night fighter and ground attack A/C.
Ilyushin II-10 Shturmovik:Considered one of the finest assault and anti-tank A/C of its time.
F2H Banshee: Ground support, photo recon, escorted B29's.
Polikarpov Po-2: Bi-plane that was too slow and maneuverable for a jet to hit, used for night raids behind enemy lines of fuel dumps and supplies.
C-119 Flying Boxcar: Transport for tanks, howlitzers,and even bridges! (Chosin Res.)
F-84 Thunderjet: Daylight ground attack fighter/bomber.
F-51 Mustang: Relagated to close ground support once the F-84 arrived.
F9F Panther: Fighter/Bomber, night fighter, photo recon.
Yak-9, Yak-7, Yak-9:Went after everything from ground troops to B29's.
Sea Fury: Fighter/Bomber/Ground attack.
Seafire: See above (Sea Fury)
Fairey Fireflies:(See Sea Fury)
B-26 Invader: Prowled for trucks, tanks, trains during the day and night.
B-29 Superfortress: Daylight bombing became costly due to Mig-15's, more successful at night operations.
Douglas AD Skyraider: Could carry what a B17 could carry in weight in bombs, rockets, torpedoes.
With the Navy coming in V1.05, some of these planes above a perfectly suited (F9F, Seafury, Seafire,SkyRaider, F4U, Banshee, SkyKnight).

(http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) Nice line up! Even "Mig Alley" did not do the air war over Korea any justice. So many nice rides that flew there and hardly has anyone ever done more than add the P-51, Mig and Sabre - maybe a couple of others.

That's 25 aircraft, and that doesn't include variants.
Some A/C not listed, some like P61B Black widow, which saw very little action.

Juzz, you are correct, the reason I seemed to think it was, is that my father-in-law worked on them during the Korean War,however, he was in Japan at the time! <S>

that sounds like a great idea - i was hoping they could do 'their thing' for other combat periods as well - every era of flightsim could use some of this formula of decent flight models, frame rates ad community -

Maybe you are not as far out, as at first thought Ripsnort. HTC startet the game with late war planes and it will be difficult to model back in time modelling worse and worse planes, the other way would be more natural. And with all those requests for postwar planes I have seen on BBS it seems easier to evolve into Korean War than back into early war days. I startet writing this as a joke, but maybe the thought is not so crazy at all, it would evolve AcesHigh right out of the very harsh competition there is on WW2, also we would get rid of the German and Japanese planes in a very elegant fashion (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
