Hi wolf

You should have chose 232 Sqn, they flew in med with great honour!   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

gee Replicant, I was looking for a squad that flew in the med, but the list of RAF squad I found did not give that info. and thank you for pointing out that my squad choice did not fly in the med. Now I am so depressed.
owell, if you look at my starting field in the med league, honor will not come into play for my squad, running for our lives will be our first piorty, and sending nasty letters to Zigrat will be second on the list of things to do.

Don't worry wolf, Zigrat's 88 Sqn didn't even fly in the med either, and they flew Boston's, not Spitfire's!   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Are they Spit 9's? If so, I'm with ya.

Camo - we will be yer worst nightmare. You will wake up soaked and shuddering... and you will see our faces. You will eat, drink and live the havok we will wreak... and you will see our faces. Your social life will be in tatters. You will no longer be able to form complete sentences. You will go to the drug store and look at 'Depends' as less of a joke, and more of a grim yet acceptable alternative. You will shake despite room temperature. You will vomit despite the fact that your appetite has kept you from eating in days. With every fiber of your being, you will fear us. And rightly so.

Save yourself this madness.

Fighting for God and country... Mom and apple pie (or whatever it is you Germans cook). These things are over-rated.

Sure, your soul is crying foul to this. You are saying to yourself, at this very moment, "Foul!". You are saying to yourself "But the fate of (blah blah blah)". 'Tis merely knee-jerk, Camo... perfectly natural... but it serves you not.

The voices that awaken you in the night... those are the individual voices of common sense coming together to form the undeniable chorus that is reason. Listen to them Camo. Listen carefully.

For God's sake look inside yourself man! The answers are all there.

When they tell you you that a 25% fuel loadout is optimal - maybe they know something that you don't. When they tell you that perhaps it would be better not to even fly a particular sortie at all - maybe they know something you don't. Who are we to judge the voices? Are we above the voices? I THINK NOT.

Camo - I need ya to dig deep here bud. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. Not inside the box. No. Not beside it or even through the box. Not under the box nor over it nor even afar from a powerful telescopic lens. OUTSIDE the box.

It is only from outside the box that you will hear the voices in all their glorius clarity. The message will be elegant, and simple.

'Don't fly in this thing, man. Bad idea.'

FWIW, This is my 2 cents, YMMV.

wolf37, wasn't it your spitfire squadron that my SchlachtGruppe 4 tangled with last night over the sea between tunis and sicily? I posted an AAR here...

If you would like to add to it, I would appreciate it. I'm interested in hearing your squadrons perspective.

Pongo, you sure about 254 Sqn? - they didn't fly Malta and used Blenheims and Beaufighters.

Hblair, I don't believe it was us, we ended up downing the entire flight of JU88s heading to Malta.  Then we were jumped by a flight of 109s and were all captured.

Hiya HB,
It was me and the boys of the 88th RAF that you met last night near Tripani. It was a great fight and I thought we did pretty well against 8-5 odds with an alt disadvantage. We will be reforming as the 43rd Squadron RAF China Britsh thanks to Nexx's research and gift of their noseart. I posted my version of events in your thread and would love to see how it matches your reccollections. I was the only RTB in my squad with 2 kills and a piece BTW. Thanx for the info guys, I read your accounts in my thread. Cool stuff! Nothing in these flight simms beats a good scenario. I'm looking forward to Saturday.

hi all:

bloom25, only two of us where captured, griz and MADMARK both died.

now we would have had all 5 ju-88's, but those danm pesky 109's showed up and reuined our fun, (Pongos squad) now the only ju-88 that I saw get out alive was shot up bad, I know this because I put a toejam load of ammo into him. but it does not really matter now.

Nash, yes they are the spit 9's, and would be honored to have you fly with my squad.
rather see you as a friendly for a change, been on the receiving end of your guns enough already. so go sign up, the slots are filling up fast. but a couple extras would be nice to. will need people on the ground to operate the fuel pumps and reload the ammo belts, and dont forget to wash the windows.

well it should be a blast.
