This is a pic from a few years back. Me and my Brother were getting into roundaderounds and this WAS our car. A few friends of ours that own speed shops in the area also had cars. My brother was the mechanic me the driver. Just as we were about to drop the motor in, the Safty rules changed and the car became no longer usable. So close yet so far, we got a pretty penny for the motor

Nice car btw. What modified class you run? The cars in this area are IMCA mods but their tires arent as wide.
Hopefully one day I can fulfill my dream of running in the sprints.

My buddy i grew up with bought into a partnership with BASH speed shops ( a local hi-performance shop) He was their driver, he hit the wall doing 90 and the safety harness gave him a 4" welt from his waist to his shoulder. We never did get to race our car, the car itself was not up to the new safety standards. Shame, my brother knows with his auto skills and my driving skills " we coulda been a contenda!" I would of loved the DIRT, nothing like flying into a turn having to counter steer:)
I wanted the number 116, so when i flipped it you'd know what number to dial, but my bro had most the money invested, so #95 it was.
My Brother always builds some really awsome stuff, and i am his"chuck yeager" sofar I'm still alive, the ONLY car he would not step in was my old 65 GTO with the ramair 68' 400, m-23 munchie... that car even scared me. I'll dig up some old photos, some oscarwipe, ran into the back of her parked where she sat.

P.S. I have no Idea what class MOD we were going to race, when,where,how, was my brothers job, my job was to just cross the finish line FIRST!

nuttz... that would be a "m21 or m22 muncie 4 speed" I have one with hurst competition plus linkage in my Healey. My El Camino uses a ricmound gear 6 speed with Long linkage.

You guys ever done any demolition derby? I was all set to do it before I moved back home from Canada...had the car (a big old chevy of some sort) and had a guy who knew what he was doing all set to prep the car for the "ring". I threw my back out just before the guy started to tear it apart (all the stuff you need to do such as gas tank removal, windshield, tear out seats etc etc) and ended up giving it to him. Only cost me a hundred bucks, so not a big loss...I was more upset at missing the opportunity to try something I knew I'd probably never get the chance to do again.

I believe it was the M-23, It was taken out of a chevelle with the 396 (ovel ports) ram air. It had 26 teeth on the spline which was twice as thick as the 21. We adapted using a buick fly wheel, since pontiac uses a 10 tooth spline. all 26 tooth spline had an 11'' flywheel, i needed a 10 3/8" with the center using the 26 tooth. I believe we found it and it was a Buick part.
But i could be wrong on the 22 23 number , it has been 20 years since i've had that blue Goat.

yep... that would be an m22.... afectionatly called "the rock crusher" by us 4 speed guys because the angle of the teeth made it growl like it was crushing rocks and... it was tough enough to actualy crush rocks we figured.

curval... my current girlfriends son is really into destruction derby. I am slightly involved through him. He does pretty well and is well liked in the destruction derby community.

Hey neato. Why does the front tire seem bigger than the rear or are they the same size? Shouldnt the front be smaller and much higher profile for digging into the dirt.

On an another note Nuttz, how's Jen doing?

the rear are the same size. I believe the driver side tires are lower profile.
