Title: tab alt ?

ok  i asked  before  but  never got  a  answer.
   I  love  playing  this  game   but  some times i get  a call  on  yahoo  and  need  to  go  see  who  it  is.In  ah1 i could  alt  and  tab  and    still  keep  flying   sort  out  message  then  come  back.now  in  ah2  i  can  get  out but  cant  come  back  just  get  a  white  screen?

  any  ideas   guys

Works OK for me..... but personally I would close down any Messenger programs when playing AH.  :)

Ive seen same white screen when comming back in. Sometims takes a few seconds for game to come back up.
How long you waiting?

Open up a folder or something on your desktop.. once you alt/tab out and alt/tab back in and see a white screen.. Alt/tab to the folder you just opened then alt/tab back to the game.. all is well.. I get the same thing alt/tab'n outta the game.. This fix has not failed me yet..

Ditto.  After the white screen I just alt-tab back and then back again to AH2 and it works fine.  I thought everyone had the same problem. Now why is it just some of us? Another one of life's great unsolved mysteries.

A lot of folks had this problem in AH1.  It only happened to people who played the game in the same resoultion as their desktop.  The fix there was to change the desktop resolution to less than that of the game.
For me, I upped game resolution to 1600x1200 and dropped desktop to 1024x768.  The problem went away.  Later I set them both back to 1280x1024 and the problem did not reccur and I havent been able to repeat it since.

I had this problem when I still was using Win98SE and get it to stop when I finally upgraded to WinXP Pro yesterday.

When I had the problem of the white screen after alt-tabbing out, I'd hit the Windows key which would minimize the game again and then I'd just click on the AH2 icon on in the task bar and the white screen would go away.

Yep....same works for me everytime......
