I was doing some field gunning and noticed that every time someone flew in or out through d2.0, the plane would halt in midair, twirl around a bit, then warp off in the direction they were flying. The pause was almost always about 1 to 2 seconds, very very noticeable. Everyone would be smooth inside 2, smooth outside 2, but right at 2.0 they'd pause or warp a bit, hang in midair and twirl around, then warp back to wherever they really were.
It's like there's some goofy delay in the smoothing transition between the different ranges. It happened with every single plane, and my connection was perfectly good with pretty much zero warping at other times.

It has always been that way orig. It's not realy a bug, but just the way things work.

I never noticed it in ah1 and was in Osti's a lot. I must say I think it really sucks !! The plane diving on you in a GV or field gun can see you perfect but the field gun or gv is flat out screwed!!! I don't know what HT changed having to do with ground to air fir but I wish they would change it back!! Only so many planes can fly down your barell without a scratch before you start to re-think the 14.95 a month.

Yes it has always done that when I'm in a field gun or ostwind. The question that I have is that if it is NOT a bug, why hasn't something been done to correct it or attempt to correct it in AH1 instead of letting it migrate to AH2? IMHO AH1 should have been fixed before shoving AH2 down our throats.

Because it is not a bug. It is a design trade off. At around 2k you are no longer recieving detail information on players, and the game is switching to a lower level of detail on the information you recieve from the host, this happens not in just a vehicle or ostwind but anytime you are looking at players, you just notice it more when gunning because you are quite often zoomed in.
