It may seem as if there are a lot of fires in the US mainland, but 83% of what has burned in the US has burned in Alaska.

California should break off into the Pacific and sink.
-
at least then we'd cool off in the summer...
-
Really starting to heat up here in Texas. Mid 90's - low 70's forecast for all of next week. The smoke from the BBQ has been really heavy the last few days as well.

HA! look who's talking. Rhode Island, the dingleberry on the arse of America.

That sucks, Gunslinger, but just remember that Oregon is much worse. Hot as hell, and fires all the time, and rain - oh man does it rain and rain and RAIN. If you need to move, move east...or maybe to Washington, yeah, Washington is great!

50s and 60s in Wisconsin. WTF is right! :)
We've had 2-3 days over 80 and one day... ONE day over 90. Our summer forgot about us :(

Gunslinger is right..
Everyone needs to leave California as soon as possible. It is a horrible place. I hear Oregon is nice though.
-
Rains too much...
-
Solid high eighties temperature and humidity here for at least a month. My water bill was almost $300 last month because we haven't had any rain (every house collects its own water which is caught from rain on the roofs and fed into a tank underneath the house).
No let-up in sight.
Gonna have to do a "Rain Dance" soon.

So, move. Problem 3 solved.
Don't worry about the trees, soon enough, all the fires will clear out the trees, then the fires will die out. This takes care of problems 1 and 2.:D

Curval if - (every house collects its own water which is caught from rain on the roofs and fed into a tank underneath the house).
Whos charging ya for the water then? God?
LOL

When you run out you either have to have water trucks deliver it...they simply unload into your tank...OR like me you are connected to a water service.
In my case I have a system that if my tank gets below a certain level it is automatically topped up from the water lines hooked into my tank. Cheaper (in the long run) than trucking...and less hassel.

The only thing better than CA falling to the ocean bottom, is recording the whole event on DVD and having it play on endless repeat :D
CA may have swatrch-an-egghead, but we got Buddy Cianci, and the whole east coast mafia hiding out here...so slow your role :)

Lies, all LIES, I will say again, Oregon is a terrible place to live . . . especially for Kalifornians!

I can't think of one celebrity to come from Rhode Island.... Buddy is the closest I can get.
God, I love this state.

The area the size of Rhode Island and Connecticut combined has already burned in Alaska this year.
