It was much different than the ten year reunion. At the ten year reunion, everyone was going out of their way to demonstrate that they weren't a failure. Typical conversations went thusly:
"Well, I graduated from XYZ University with a BS in XYZ, and now, I'm a with "
At the twenty year reunion, the typical conversation went: "Well, I'm married for the second time, and have 4 children, and I live in , and wow, is it ever good to see you. How are you doing?"
As you can see, the conversations were much more genial and friendly at the twenty year reunion. I graduated with a little over 300 people, and I'd say that half that number attended the 20 year reunion.
Another note of interest is how yummy most of the women looked, even some of the ones who did nothing for me when they were 18. At 38, however, a large majority of them looked damn good. Either my standards have plummeted, or they have been taking good care of themselves. Probably both! :aok:
There were, of course, the usual moments of embarrassment. There was the class drunk guy, who got drunk at the reunion and hit on almost every woman in the place, even the ones that brought their spouses. And then there was the slide show. Too funny!
I would encourage everyone to go to at least their ten year and twenty year reunion. It's fun to see the change in people, and to see how most of them mature and learn to like each other.
One word of advice, though. Leave the spouse/significant other at home. You'll have much more fun, and your spouse won't be bored by hearing all of your old stories again.

Some of us have lost far too much hair to consider attendence.
:D
Others have been to too many schools to be able to choose which reunions to attend.

So bananas conversation went like this:
"Well, I'm still married, I fly online flight sims, and play computer games, I worship Ron Jeremy, and hot damn!..you were ugly in high school, you're looking good these days! Are those real?!?"

Every year during the last weekend in July we have a Fraternity reunion that lasts 4 days at a campground. It is attended by active brothers all the way back to people who graduated in the 60's.
I brought my SO last year and I STILL get the heat from the stories she heard.
