Title: Sound bug
Post by: trox on July 20, 2004, 03:07:33 PM
My first post on forum, too bad its in this section of the forum I guess :)

When my engine was shoot to pieces (which happends a lot :) ) I noticed that when you try to turn engine on (which ofcourse won't work) the sounds outside the cockpit (planes flying by and such) get muted, press the E key again and they will unmute. I guess they suppose to be unmuted all the time after the engine isn't working.

nah, the exterior sounds get muted when the engines on...or maybe the range of audible sounds shortens..

Yes, I use latest drivers for my soundcard, its just a common SB Live!.

I didn't have the occasion to test it again last night.
But yesterday I could clearly mute/unmute exterior sounds with E key while gliding with damaged engine.

Sounds like that function was tied into a place that didn't take the damaged engine into account.  Thanks for the report.
