A couple of dedicated fans here. I'm really surprised no one got hurt.

"There were lots of aggressive fans surrounding the riders and I even saw two idiots spit at Lance Armstrong," Leblanc told Reuters.

actually, the whole TDF is boring, just like soccer and F1 racing.

Cmon.....I never knew anything about Lance until I saw a show on him.  After I learn about what trageties this guy has been through....he is a real life champion.

Man people really spitting on him....probably just makes him want to win more.

Its not like the tour de france is an easy event to win or train for

TDF is a TEAM Sport, without the help of the US Postal drivers
where would Lance stand today?
He is a Genius directing his team, giving orders ect.
Ofcourse he is strong, but i would not say he is much better
then Jan, both great champions.
Actually beside the US-Postal team, i seldom see other teams
working so close togheter just for one man.
Where is the team Telekom leading Jan ? lol ;)
well i hope to see Jan winning tomorrow at least the battle against the clock.

If I were a Postal domestique, I would have no problem with supporting Armstrong after his performance in the ascent of L'Alpe d'Huez.  At least I would know I was backing the right guy.

I think Jan carried too much weight this winter and his fast weight loss in the spring took something out of him.  He doesn't seem to have what he had last year and Armstrong has improved since last July.

Armstrong just won Sat's TT 61 sec ahead of Ullrich (yet another 61 sec difference), Kloden passed Ivan Basso to go 2nd overall.
