currently I'm drinking a glass of Loire Valley whine with a baguette and some very smelly (and tasty cheese) ...
Waiting for my snails with butter and garlic to be ready
next I'll eat either a boeuf bourguignon or a blanquette de veau followed by some cheese (again :p ) and I'll end that with a savarin ...
and you what is your planed meal for lunch ?
-
Tandoori chicken with naan bread & Cobra beer.
I am spending the evening with 5 gorgeous coleagues (sp?) :D ... I could have Mc Donnalds, I couldn't care less!
-
I'm having a 'field-greens' salad with raspberry vinigrette dressing then going across the street for a slice of Hawaiian pizza and a coke!:)
(very hot & humid here today, which translates into lots of scantily clad women walking about) ;)

Sounds wonderful, Straffo!
Say, Paris might be in my future whether I want to go or not, how far are you from Paris? Particularly the Concorde Lafayette?
My lunch is boring, sweaty men and women.
Lunch is at the Gym. (I eat small meals about every two hours during the day)
-
Paris sucks.
Staffo lives in Normandy and has promised to change my opinion of the rest of France, as my only experince there is Paris.
-
My lunch consists of peanutbutter and jelly between two peices of toast. :aok
-
3 ham and eggs sandwiches, toasted and a Coke
mmm,mmmm, good!
-

-

-
eeekkkk look like I made yet another translation error I didn't mean lunch but dinner :)
My lunch was different :
Salade with tomatoes , goat cheese and chooped bacon
Sirloin steak with roquefort sauce and fries + french bean
Cheese (again and always :p)
Coupe colonel (lemon ice + vodka)
Ripsnort I'm at exacly 91.1km from the Concorde Lafayette but you would better hurry I'll leave Normandy next year.
@Curval : it sound clearly more horrible in French , Hot dog sound exotic but "chien chaud" sound like "dog having an erection" :D
was searching the translation of "haricots verts"

maybe a language thing. I mean:
1. fire up the grill outside the house
2. put the hotdogs on the grill when its warm enough and add some sauce on them (if you like)
3. take them off the grill when they are ready.
4. eat them
We call that BBQ here.

Btw I never heard of sauce vert gris ,I've done some foie gras en croute : http://bonappetitbiensur.france3.fr/recettes.php3?id_article=1357
-
sorry french culinary terms are getting rusty I meant verjus (the unfermented fresh juice of unripe wine grapes)--very tart and a nice compliment to the rich and slightly bitter foie gras.
-
I had the usual- Wonton egg drop soup and hot oolong tea.
-
Am having some almond crusted sauted Grouper and Red Snapper. I went fishing yesterday instead of working. Havent decided what to prepare with it. Any suggestions?

Given what is in season these days;
May I suggest a simple warm whitecorn, tomato and cucumber salad dressed with salt pepper, lemon juice, shallots, frsh herbs (basil, chives, tarragon) and galrlic.
Mix up the the componants put them n the center of the plate lay fish on top. voila.

If you pick Micky Dees over even a bologna sammich you have no class whatsoever
Why do folks think MDs is good?
Its only good to keep the kids traps shut.
Ya know the "happy meals"
No self respecting American eats that slop :p
Unless its an emergency :)

Nothing fancy, just what was on the menu.
Gazpacho soup and codfish "a la llauna", a local specialty.

Wheeew..now you are getting confusing.
Down here in the Republic Of Texas :D dinner is a midday meal and supper is for late afternoon. ( I know, I know ... I`m expecting the speech police from the "brang" thread at any minute, but you should hear the laughing when one of "them people" come around here and start tallking.;) )
OK we`ll go with "lunch" then.
Since I was stuck in the house with a swollen jaw waiting for my dentist appointment on Friday I decided I would throw down on making the meal.
I was floating about 3 inches off the floor and sorta bumping the walls every once in a while due to the hydrocodone for the pain. It put me in a Cajun mood.
I whooped up( that`s a southern gourmet term) a plum lip smackin gumbo. Some taters, cut homegrown maters, fresh onion, spices yet to be identified, half bottle of Louisiana hot sauce, and a pound and a half of mud bugs. Wheew boy I guarontee. :D
The beast.... I mean my loving wife broke out the griddle and threw down on some fryed cornbread patties. Threw in some iced tea on the side, another Lortab just to be sure and I`m a happy camper.
Don`t that pretty? :)

Was thinking something on these lines. This should accent the fish well. Thanks jEEZY!

The first thing you do is throw all those Jacks away. What the hell do you keep that trash for?

Toasted Herb Bagel with salmon creame cheeze, black forest ham, and a bunch of green stuff, frenches mustard.
-
Went to the driving range with my boss for lunch.
A package deal. A basket of golf balls + BBQ hamburgers for 10 bucks. Good times.
-
Two skewers of pork cooked on a grill and served over rice with zaziki sauce. A nice Greek salad with lots of feta. A pint of very cold Alexander Keith's Indian Pale ale.
-

Throw Amberjack away?? Wow your really missing out. AJ use to be thought of as a trash fish because of the parasites that are attached to them in the warmer months. Most people dont realize that the same ones attach to the grouper and snapper. I cut more out of the red grouper than i did the AJ. If you are throwing these away you should really reconsider. The meat is not fishy and requires no special prep to remove "fishy" taste like Mackrel. If anything throw those kings back!
Years ago Lobster was thought of as trash, Not anymore :)

Store bought salmon (Yeah, yeah...I know, fresh caught is better...but it's a little hard to come by in Arkansas. So shaddap.)
Marinated for 10 minutes is Dale's marinade. Seasoned with Creole seasoning and just a pinch of BBQ rub. Slowly grilled over low-heat mesquite charcoal.
Grilled corn-on-the-cob and cole slaw as side-dishes.
My favorite beverage.
A man's food. You can have that sissy foreign stuff.
