LOL :D
remember the days of Offspring too

I've never heard Norwegian hip-hop. The mere thought of it brings a smile. I think it'd be hilarious and quite refreshing. It certainly has to be hard to rap in a language that has three times as many syllables and is generally more nasal than urban thug banter uses.
Jay Z is Nordic, right?

Ahhh the old days are long gone. Hip Hop use to be full of story tellers and rappers with a message to get across. Now we have those wanna be studio thugs who portray life as one huge club filled with fancy cars and big booty hoes. Hip Hop has gone into the commercial industry. It use to be an art like spoken word. Now most of it is full of nonsense.

Talib Kweli
Mr Lif
Dizzee Rascal
Mos Def
Lewis Parker

It can't be any worse than Australian Hip-Hop, believe me.

You have to go below the semi-mainstream. Seriously check out some Mos Def, but Eyedea, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock are all really good.
edit:drunk people don't finish statements well

I see Mos Def in movies, But I saw Talib Kweli, Gangstarr and Common at Metropol in Pittsburgh.
Mosdef is very talented, but Kweli is better IMO.
Aesop Rock, EL-P, Cannibal Ox are very underground.
I'm listening to the Best of Big L right now and DITC Crew.
Damn Shame he's dead, Big L was probably the most talented rapper ever.
I like all types of Music, But I can only listen to certain types of Rap.

My best souvenir is "highway to hell" in chinese.

The original version of 99 problems was HORRIBLE. Then Rick Reubens got ahold of it and remixed it. GREAT tune, and I HATE rap/hip hop in general. BUT this one has an interesting hard guitar riff througout that get's under your skin and get's the ole head banging.
VERSE 2
The year is '94 and my trunk is raw
In my rear view mirror is the mother ****in' law
I got two choices y'all pull over the car or (hmmm)
Bounce on the devil put the pedal to the floor
Now i ain't tryin' to see no highway chase for Jay
Plus i got a few dollars i can fight the case
So i...pull over to the side of the road
i heard "Son do you know what i'm stoppin' you for?"
Cause i'm young and i'm black and my hats real low
But do i look like a mind reader sir, i don't know
Am i under arrest or should i guess some mo'?
"Well you was doin fifty-five in a fifty-four"
"Liscense and registration and step out of the car"
"Are you carryin' a weapon on you i know alot of you are"
I ain't steppin out of **** all my papers legit
"Do you mind if i look round the car a little bit?"
Well my glove compartment is locked so is the trunk and the back
And i know my rights so you gon' need a warrant for that
"Aren't you sharp as a tack, you some type of lawyer or something'?"
"Or somebody important or somethin'?"
Nah i ain't pass the bar but i know a little bit
Enough that you won't illegally search my ****
"We'll see how smart you are when the K-9 come"
I got 99 problems but a bi*** ain't one
Hit me
It's the ONLY rap song on my h/d, and it's really 1/2 way decent.. Fairly well done lyrics, and was mixed by R.R. so it's worth a listen.
(gawd, did I just advocate listening to rap. (sigh) must be the lack o' shaggin'. OMW to the WidowMaker Pleasure Barn )

ahhhh...just as i thought. you fall into the "beaten up" and "mercilessly teased" as a youth catagory.
Only thing more smacked around in my days where the skater dweebs. THOSE dorks were fun 'cause they usually tried to run, and the skateboard gave ya' sumptin' to pummel 'em with.
heh. t/y for the fond flashback.

though i fought dirty... never a second hesitation to kick a fella dude in the nutz, then spit on him and walk away.
sure it guarenteed a re-beating attempt, but they'd think twice at least

There is one good thing about "hip hop."
The vast numbers of large breasts in the music videos.
