3. Jimmy Buffet sings Hank Williams
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Far from wasting away in Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett shot to the pinnacle of the U.S. pop charts on Wednesday as his latest release, "License to Chill," became the first No. 1 album of his career.
Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, and George Strait all teamed up with Buffett on the album's marquee single, a remake of Hank Williams' classic "Hey, Good Lookin,"' which has become a country radio hit. They and others, among them Martina McBride and Nanci Griffith, also appear individually with Buffett on several other songs.

I listen to classical, opera and jazz. But I don't get into early classical like Mozart, Handel and Vivaldi.
I'm more into the late Romantic/Early 20th century era, with my three favorite composers being Mahler, Bax and Puccini.

I notice by REM you only have ripped Monster and Automatic for the People. Buy Life's Rich Paegent, It's their best (1986), Reckoning (1984) isn't that much behind it.
You need more Pink Floyd. I might have to send you an Mp3 disc. I've practically ripped my whole CD collection (almost 1,000) on my HD. I need to get a Netgear MP101 Media server and use the PC as my jukebox and play the songs through my HT system.

have meet you so i wount be rude....
no thanks sir
i still have about 90 CD's to rip, then i'll be done.
as for REM. dont care for them much, "drive" was a great tune, and got that CD from one of those columbia house deals. "crush with eyeliner, and frequency" are good songs and bought that CD for them.
like end of the world, and orange crush, thats about it though. that bi-suxal's politics make me hate listening to them though.
they all should be sent to orbit without space suits for making shining happy people too.

I listen to Bach organ music sometimes If I was given three wishes by a genie, one of them would be to have the knowledge and skill to play the fugues.
Toccata & Fugue in D minor.
Fantasia & Fugue in G minor.
Prelude & Fugue in E minor.
Passacaglia & Fugue in C minor.
I was doing some statue restoration work (cleaning and re-painting) in the local cathedral one time, and the organ player came and practiced while my friend and I were working. The organ loft was up on the choir balcony and accessed by stairs in one of the towers. He played for about an hour and kept on going without messing up or starting over. It was the most beautiful and majestic organ music I'd ever heard actually being played live. Not exactly normal church music either. No one else was there Almost got the impression he was letting off some steam.
Anyway, sorry to get off subject somewhat. My favorite music is anything with piano in it. Next in line is sax and clarinet.
Top on my list for rock is Zeppelin.
For country: Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline
For big band: Benny Goodman
For classical: Alexander Borodin (Polovetsian Dances)
For jazz: Al Dimeola (Elegant Gypsy)
Les:)
