Title: If I was gonna build a Cockpit;

I'd get one of these sticks  (http://www.avshop.net/lib/avshop/gstick.jpg)
for the realism factor, and a Suncom split throttle, rudder pedals.

Very nice!  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Maybe someday in a finnished basement room I'll be able to take a corner and set something like that up. Maybe by then they'll have a good VR system or multi-monitor capability.
