In a plane, especially a single engine fighter when the throttle won't work or ya can't shut off the engine, just hit "shift e"
problem solved.

never had this happen until last night, thanks!

Or Shift-1 to select engine 1. The cause is simply that other engines have been selected by mistake (or bug?).
I went an entire flight the first time that happend, and couldn't figure out what to do. Thought it was some sort of new damage moddeling :)

It is allways good to have Emergency Engine Cut-off procedure.....
Real storry (in AH)
Landed in 109 rolling to rearm pad...... Shortly near rearm building I try to reduce throttle - plane continue to move.... Brakes - relsease continue - zerro thirottle not idle..... I shot down the engine....... what happened???
F.O.D. in my throttle - broken part of pencil had stuck my throttle - I couldn't move to idle.
Allmost lost the wing.......
Maybe you going to smile - but I allways check all controls I first time enter AH.......
BTW in real life such situations happens too.

Man, when that happened to me I couldn't even shut off the engine. I ended up getting real slow (tough to do at full throttle), dropped gear and flaps to stay slow, got low to the ground and popped the prop on the ground, then dropped gear again and landed.

It happens when people press shift 2 instead of shift f2.

I guess because I fly a twin engine plane, I took for granted everyone knew that :)

Oh, I knew about how to switch between engines, but it just never occured to me that it could be causing the problem in my single engine plane.
How come it is possible to select a non-existant engine anyway.
Yes, yes I know. It's lot of work to get rid of compared to what is gained.

Senfens: You just answered you own question perfectly.

I know I did, but it's always nice to get it verified.
