Title: Ati 8500 64mb..hint/tips?

what can i do to make my card run bettr..im getn in the low teens  when in furballs or lo to ground..i hate it..







I still show ATI playing my waves from the AH2 sounds folder..does thsi hinder?

I tried to use the "open with only" thing..but it doesnt  change


Are there any posts that tell you how to optomize your video card


I do get 3o-50's when flying up hi..but whn stuff starts exploding...it drops to teens

Concerning the wav having an ATI icon it's just because you have installed the "ATI player" , I don't know of any side affect .
Don't bother with this.

hahah..slow down..the day i see a rook lower then me ..will be the day i hang the french flag on my deck..hehehe


anyways..ok..so im here a at ati tweak page....bahhhh

i dotn even knwo where to begin..

i tried a Omega driver a bit ago...omg..i completly screwed up my OS...had to reinstall it..what a painnn in the assssss


When i see the word "tweak' it scares me a bit..

I guess I was lookn for somthn failrly simple to clik on ..clik off...move slider here/there...

thnxs for link though..i looked at it for a min..but wasnt sure what to F with..

3d...Open gl..i dont even knwo what these do

wow..i cant even open the control panel for my ati card now...where the hell is it?


i go to controlpanel/display/settings...advanced..and it just tells me my driver info..arghh

i rememebr at one tiem seeing this ..open gl..all that stuff

The control pannel is a separate download and depend of your driver version.
Get it at ATI.

why is it so hard to find the control panel download?..any1 with a link?  straffo my good friend?

i just spent 20 minutes on the ati website...arghhh

What is your driver version ?

To check go to control pannel => display => parameter tab
click on advanced ,go to the card tab,click on properties, next on the Driver tab

On this page there should be the drver version

if it's 6.14.10.6458
get this http://www2.ati.com/drivers/control-panel-8-03-040610a-016126c.exe

else post the version here I'll point you the right file in the loving huge list you can find here : http://www.ati.com/support/products/radeonwinxppreviousdrivers.html

ok..so i have the control panel now..but it doesnt have all those things that you linked me to from the Teak thing page..

I guess im supposed to download the atitweak thing now...fuq i hate thsi sheite...

There are no tweaks to do.  The ATI control panel is on the same page of thier WEB site as the driver is.

You can also download a complete package, with the control panel and driver as well.

ok..so i have all the "stock" ati driver and control panel...what do i do with the control panel to make Ah2 playable?

Do you guys at HTC have a list of things to chek on ..chek off?
