Title: IRQ conflict
Post by: Jasta on July 26, 2004, 10:00:43 PM: I opened up System properties to see if I had any IRQ conflicts, and it turns out I do. I have the NIC and the Sound Card on the same IRQ. Ive heard this can cause problems. Please tell me what I can do about this. thanks.

To solve this, you typically would move one of the cards to another slot in the PCI bus. Take care to remove the drivers for the device you are going to move BEFORE you actually move it.
If you have the motherboard manual for your computer, they typically show how the PCI slots IRQ's are physically shared.

since win xp, I haven't even had to checked them - guess I was lucky with the assignment from MS :)

Apparently, NICs dont like to share IRQs.
