Nice, looks like a trekkie transponder (or whatever that's called!)
-
yeah.. hs bluetooth, camera and all sorts of gadgets.
to bad we wont see it in europe....motorola hasnt planned on selling it over here
-
It's a shame Europe and the states don't see the Far East mobile phones. They are way ahead of anything launched over here - 3 megapixel camera phones etc.
-
yeah

Looks pretty cool!
-
keyboard area looks different then the pics i posted, mine looked better...what gives??
-
I think the difference is that your pic shows the backlight on, and the one at phonescoop the backlight is off.
-
could be....but in my photo it almost looks like the keyb area is made of glass....like a touchscreen
-
Yeah, I guess it does. Hopefully it's not, 'cause that would suck. Tactile feedback is a must for the keys, unless you wanna have to stare at the phone anytime you make a call.
-
good point....but it does look
-edit- would prolly get slippery to if you have sweatty hands or have food on them. Would prevent dirt under keyb tho....
-
How much onboard flash memory does it have? Because it doesnt seem to be able to take an SD/MMC card like my Motorola Mpx200.. Otherwise it looks awesome, I love the idea of a solid aluminum case.

One can only hope... I dont think phones will ever be as rugid as they used to be usnless you buy special "industrial" type phones.
My first cellphone back in 95 was a motorola startac or something. It could take a beating and so could my old ericsson 318. Phones these days are made to not last.
-
update...
keyboard is in metal with blue lighting and the memory is 5mb

Later in this year Nokia will begun to sell it's new Communicator 9500; GPRS, WLAN, 80mb built-in mem and as much as you like in a MMC-card, camera, email, MS Office 97 compatible Word and Excel, Opera internet browser (remember it has WLAN) and all that running in Symbian Series80 OS.
Price should be around 800€ which isn't bad if look what you got with it :)
Oh and Doom works in a 9210... :aok
-
Nokia needs to get the quality control back on track before i buy another phone from them. they used to be the best, now they are worse than SE was before sony joined ericsson.
-
No idea; right now I have 6310i, 7650 and 9210 (+earlier 9110i communicator) and haven't had any problems with any of them.
My only gripe right now is that I need to build myself a WLAN-network at home when 9500 becomes available...

Thats cheap...you get good wifi routers from 70$ and up.
Recent surveys here shows that Nokia phones are on the top of the statistics. The need the most repairs and have the highest numbers on DOA phones. Its a shamer really cause they used to be the best.
