Hello,
Could someone please tell me what my convergence should be for 20mm and 50 cal? I have my .50s set to 350, 375, and 400 but don't seem to be doing mach damage on the first or second pass. However, if I get shot by .50s I seem to go down with only a short burst.
Thank you

My .50 convergence is set at 450 or 400
All my 20mms in LW a/c are at 300
Hispanos set at 400

So, set all guns to the same convergence then?

In AH2 I generally set my .50's to either 200 (4 guns) or 225 (6 or 8 guns). I don't open fire at long range.

Differs on how the armament is installed friend Dedalos.
In AH1 I didn't notice any difference between wing armament and nose armament, with the exception of the P-38L and Mosquito, or a plane like the Bf110.
However, there's a significant difference in AH2 now. Countless times I've been shot down in HOs where I was in a wing-armed plane with superior firepower, whereas the enemy was weaker in firepower but had a center-line nose armament.
I've seen you flying the P-38L often, which probably means you don't really need to set convergence on anything. With such centerline armament as long as you aim it right, it will hit regardless of how you've set the convergence.
However, in wingarmed planes - typically those with multiple HMGs set on the outboard of the wing, it depends a lot on your style of fighting. If you do a lot of close-quarter fights and rely on concentrated firepower in snapshots I recommend something around 250~350 for all guns. Those provide you with good firepower in close ranges - but in those long shots against extending enemies over 400yards, or a HO situation it sucks.
However, if you rely on long tracking shots and leisurely BnZ passes something between 300~450 might be better. Longer convergence also helps with HO situations a lot better than shorter ones.

Thanx guys. The 38 I fly cause I can actualy fly it in AHII, and for those long shots. Last I remember I killed an LA7 from 800+. In AHI it was a death trap for me. The problems with the .50s I have when I fly a 51, p40, Fsomething etc. I had the guns set below 400 and sometimes below 300. Don;t know if it was my aim or what but it was very hard to get a kill. Last night I tried setting the guns at 450,475, and 500. I only got 2 kills like that but I only fired twice with those settings (very short bursts and high deflection angles). I'll see what happens tonight. It could be a combo of aim and playing style.
Thanks
