Title: Gun sounds P38?

I have a unusual prob with a P38's cannon sounds.If I use full or 3/4 accelration,the cannon has no sound,if I put the slider at 1/2 or on emulation the cannon sounds fine.I use AH sounds,tried Waffles,and it was ok,but no cannon sound.I have a SB Live Platinum 5.1 card.If anyone can shed a little light on this I'd be grateful.

Have you tried posting this in Technical Support? You might get some good help there.

i'll take a listen to it and see if I can find anything - been doing alot of isolating sounds lately.... :)

Just checked, cannon working fine here -

Have you tried with other planes? try the 109s  with cannons.

Also check soundfiles and look for 20mm_1, 20mm_2 and so on, see if any of those are corrupt.

How long has this problem been going on Iron? Since release of AH2 or more recently?

I have had this prob since AH1.I have decided it must be sound card related,beings I can get cannon sounds using lower acceleration settings.I really liked Waffles sound pack,but I couldn't get cannon sounds with any settings.I think I will put a Turtle Beach sound card in,and see what happens.Thanks to those that replied.

seems like it might be a sound card / driver issue if you've been having it since ah1...
