Hi as an opportunity to educate myself about the demographics of the AH community I'd just like to ask:

How many female players are there in AH?

Yep, not sure if all are still active, but there is also Stink, Dyana, LPN, Esme and Athena that I can think of off the top of my head.  Oh and of course there is SKFlossy too - but that's just me on another account.  ;)

Awww Flossy, you mentioned me :)   Still have an active account, but play rarely with Mj being so busy in pilot training.

If theres that much girls on the rook side, then man, there are A LOT of women with sore throats.

And socks in their pants.

Adogg, I'm not positive on this one, Flossy can correct me, but I believe most of the women in the game (most, not all) are on here because their husbands fly as well.  Heck, I know that's why I'm here.  It's the old 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em' mentality. :)  So no hitting on the female players, you never know which husband is on your six.

Yep, it's my husband's fault that I'm here!  ;)  I got interested in AW back in January 1998 when he told me thought he might be getting invited into a Squad - it was then I realised there was much more to AW than just flying aeroplanes!  I watched him play that night and couldn't believe the depth of detail, from entering the Officers Club, moving to the Cz Headquarters and from their to a friendly field.  I was totally in awe, and had to watch him everytime he went online after that - sometimes badgering him to go on when he didn't particularly feel like it.

After about 6 months of this, he finally suggested I got my own account.  I was a bit hesitant at first as I never thought I would ever be able to fly a plane, but as he said I could always drive a vehicle or go as a gunner on a bomber - so Flos was born!  :)

I continued in AW right up until the end, and was also here at the same time from April 2001..... been here ever since.  I think in both games my interest held out because I became part of the volunteer staff - in AW as a Game Assistant, helping new players and generally keeping an eye on players' conduct - and here as a member of the CM Team, very involved with setting up and running Special Events.

My husband (GameID:  Zeb) hasn't played here for some time, though he does keep his account current and could be online at a moment's notice if I needed him to be!  :D  Oh, and my son also plays (Cloudy), so thats two family members I can call upon.  My two squads are also very protective!  :aok

I think his point is that Rooks are more  in touch with their feelings than bish or kniggits.
