Hmmm.  359th Fighter Group had the green nosed P51s in Europe with the 8th AF.

359th Fighter Squadron was also a 51 Squadron with the 356th FG, 8th AF in the ETO.  They had the blue diamonds on the red nose.

No 359th with night fighters that I know of.

Night fighter P38 was the M model.

Looks like the 419th Night Fighter Squadron in the 13th AF had P38s at some point

It was the 549th Squadron....I applogize for this inconvence.  Was working on a 349th plane at the time I posted that post and must of gotten side tracked .  will post the website where i found the 549th squad information later.
