Howdy All!
Let me start out by saying that I am not a computer whiz. With that out of the way, here is my problem. I got a good 'ole HP Pavilion with Intel Exetreme Graphics and since it "does not support hardware T&L", and I don't have an APG slot, I'm forced to go with a PCI video card. Anybody have any thoughts on what would work the best in this configuration?
I've looked at Diamond Stealth S80 Radeon 9200se, PNY GeForce FX5200, Chaintech GeForce FX5200, and an eVGA GeForce FX5200. Whats the difference between these anyway, besides price? Any others out there I don't know about that I should?
The computer is 256MB, 40GB Ultra DMA, 2.7GHz Celeron, 845GL chipset, and a V92 modem. Not real high tech but gets the job done, sometimes.
Thanks for the help!

Thanks for that thread Xtrme. From all I talk to I am hearing about the same thing about the FX5200, so I guess thats my choice. I'm just lookin for a way to run AH2 again. In AH1 I got a frame rate around 35 to 45 fps and it was acceptable to me so thats all I'm really lookin for.
I looked at getting a new motherboard with an AGP slot, but by the time I buy a board and then a graphics card I'm up around 200 bucks, I might as well go get another computer then.
Thanks for the help guys, if ya got any other ideas I'm all ears until I order this card.
Thanks all, Flash

Don't forget Geforce4 MX 440 8x 64Meg Pci, can be gotten quite cheaply with careful shopping, and doesnt perform that much worse than GeF 5200
