Everyone has been dropping support for 98/ME, including ATI, which only had Catalyst 4.3 drivers available for 98/ME users.
ATI released the Catalyst 4.7 drivers for 98/ME users today.
You can get them here. (http://mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/winme/radeonwdm-me.html?type=me&prodType=graphic&prod=productsME98driver&submit.x=9&submit.y=9&submit=GO%21)

DOH...is the 4.7 only for 98/ME? I D/L'd them for my
WIN XP.

Thanks Skuzzy ,
hey any word on a overclock program for the ati cards using 98se ??
I have one for my nvidia card and my very old ati monster card , but i havent found one yet thats compatable with 98se and my 9600 series card .
-
Ohio, this was specifically for 98 and ME users.
Rosco, I never have delved into overclocking a video card, so I am not a good source of information for this.
-
Rosco,
Rage3D Tweaker (http://www.rage3d.com/?node=r3dtweak) should work. I use it on my A-I-W 9800 Pro with XP but it also claims to work with 98/Me.

LOL, oops... oh well..they seem to work "ok" with XP.
Would my frame rates be better if I went back to 4.6?
I WAS running 4.6 on a radeon 9000 Pro. I just bought
a Radeon 9600SE and installed 4.7... This new card, with 4.7,
didn't increase my frame rates over the 9000

Ohio, there are Catalyst 4.7's for XP available too. But the drivers from that link provided by Skuzzy are for 98/ME only. If you had installed the Cat4.7 before you saw this thread, you shouldn't worry. :)

Rosco,
The 9550 is probably one of the locked cards that have to have a different bios installed to allow overclocking to work. Read up on it in the Rage3D Forum (http://www.rage3d.com/board/forumdisplay.php?f=22) .
