so when you are in a furball you dont lose track of the guy you were targeting.

Also for alt+tab - nice minimize command

hers another one:

(ohh boy im full of em tonight)

while in fighter press shift 2, ohh my god!!!!

couldnt figure out what the hell i did because i didnt mean to push it in the first place, i think i was trying for shift f2, but man i for the longest time couldnt fix it because i didnt know what i hit, so for anyone in the future your, throttle, wep flaps, engine, actually i think all of your keyboard doesnt work, try shift 2 or shift 1 to bring controls back

Missed one thing, there is somethin in the setup you can do, you target your enemy, then you press one of the function keys and your sight will stay on the enemy, some like it, some dont.

Its very awkward at first, but some tend to get the hang of it.  Although, not many people use it.

Are you guys talking about "Padlock View"?  It makes the view you see switch to the enemy you've selected and it stays locked on him no matter where he goes.
I've tried it a few times off-line, but if gets confusing to me because it's difficult for me to keep track of the attitude of MY aircraft and where its headed, etc.

ya it makes up for the crappy view system in il2, still its clunky and artificial, not to mention "target fixation button"  track ir is the way to go if you dont want to use hat.

Flossy is right:

Padlock = Target Fixation = Dead.

It's also true in Il2 as well, but in the no-icon servers it becomes useful for it's ability to pick out aircraft (which you otherwise might not see).

the box around the con is as stated for paddlock view.

you can alos turn on "friendly paddlock, and get a box around a friendly.

offline you can turn on the lead computing gunsight, and it will show you were to fire for the paddlocked plane. crosshairs for each gun, you can check convergences that way too.

shift 1 2 3 so on selects certain engines. shift E selects all again. using that function you can change the MAN or rpm for individual engines, or straight out shut doen a certain engine.
