The rest of the ships I'm doing for this set.
In order, left to right.
Scout, Light Fighter, Medium Fighter, Assult Fighter (note the X's on the wings. The design was changed from this), Torp Bomber,
(Next Row) Corvette, Destroyer, Carrier, Heavy Cruiser/Dreadnought.

I got confused when I first saw this post, because I saw it last month when you posted it on scifi-meshes.com, I think.
Nice work.
-
Heheh, I've never been to that site. LOL
-
Really? Weird, did you post your pics here? You might want to check out scifi-meshes.com then, there are some people there who can give great criticism and suggestions.

cool pics but whats with the wings? its not like a ship like that could ever "fly" in an atmosphere. I would tend to think that space craft of the future would have a more efficient design.
just my thaughts dont takem to heart :aok
-
Yeah, not much practical reasons for wings, but they help it look cool. :aok :p
And chairboy, I did post the Light fighter here once I think. But I'll check out that site you gave me!

Looks like you're getting the hang of 3D modeling Weavling. Any career plans in that area?

I wish LucusArts would remake the XW/TF series. Revamp the graphics and stuff.
-
Well, there's the Jump to Lightspeed expansion to Star Wars: Galaxies coming. It's supposed to be XW vs. TF style play.

Im kinda expecting it to be "RPG" style space flight... in other words; dependant on experience points or something instead of player ability.
If Im wrong Ill be signing up.

Yeah, same here, but my friends tell me it won't be. I have no interest in casting a 'blaster' spell from my A-Wing at an Imperial Tie-Fighter that has rolled a +5 evasive maneuvering trait.

Nope, JTL is totally dependent on player skill, though there will be some RPG elements to it.

Tell your friends they are wrong and maybe they should read about what makes up JTL instead of guessing.
ack-ack

I'm confused.
I said that my friends say it will NOT be RPG style. Then you also say it won't be RPG style, but then you say my friends are wrong.
Which one is it?

Gah, I'm reviving kind of an old thread, but I feel I should reply to the replies.
I thinking of going back and starting over with these models. I'm gonna try to up the poly count and get it to be more detailed. For some reason I tried to keep the count down for these, even though a game model isn't what I was aiming for. I'll try to follow your advice GScholz, as it it sound very.... sound! :aok Thanks for the tips!
And to Iron, I'm thinking this may be a possibility of what I want to go into, but it's all up in the air at the moment.
