Used to go there quite a bit as a kid,  from my limited experience
its nice if you like countryside, surfing, countryfolk.  It is a beautiful place.

if you don't?  its boring, although i hear Newquay is a good place to go out.  Where abouts in Devon?

Area near Barnstaple on the coast - got stuck behind every caravan in the country yesterday going to a job interview.

Just down the M5 from Bristol.
