I also found this. But there is a catch!!!

If you ZOOM IN to the point where the pilot head disappears and the cockpit shows up, the clipboard will be hidden properly. However, zoom out just to the point where the cockpit disappears and the pilot head shows, and the bug is back.

It seems to have been fixed for "close" range, but not for "long" range external viewing.
