Title: Looking for...
Post by: Hawklore on July 31, 2004, 12:40:38 PM
I'm looking for a website that goes into detail about WWII Army Ranks.

I've seen some, but it's not always WWII, and I've seen some, where it shows the First Sgt. as above the Msgt, and from what I've seen on others it's visa versa, -shrug-.

But what I'm basicly looking for is something that gets in to the detail about the duties of the certain ranks, all the way up to Col.

I hope some of yall know of some good sites, cause I've been searching google for awhile, (several weeks) and havn't really found much of anything thats solid, so share what yah got, even if someone else has posted a site.

Thanks,
Hawklore

Duty and rank are not tied together. You are not going to find a site or publication that says a spec 4 (tech 4 for WW2 era) did this or that.

You may find some broad categories that have some bearing but not a lot of specifics.

Yeah, I'm talking like, what part of the squad, battalion, and etc. role did they play, training and stuff like that.
