Im still running 6.1. I have read about prob with j sticks. Is there any advantage to upgrade. As you all know i cant shoot. so If this will help, please let me know.

DX7 I believe gave digital stick users fits and caused spikes that would set off the anti - 'stick stirrer' part of the program. DX7A was the good one to use as it resolved those problems.

Thx westy. But i was wondering why upgrade at all. What does it do that 6.1 dosent.

I started AH using 6.1, then went to 7 when it was released, then 7a back in December. (I'm using a M$ Precision Pro (usb)) After the upgrade to 7 I noticed about a 2 to 5 fps increase (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif), but my stick spiked badly. That was solved with 7a (in fact it's even better than 6.1) and I kept the extra couple fps. I'd say if you have a fast connection, get 7a, it is better than 6.1. (Avoid Dx7, just get 7a.) I think it was a 7 MB download, but well worth it IMO.

I would upgrade to DX7a if I were you just to see if it makes a difference in some of the gunnery weirdness you've had.
