So your saying an African AA Missle can carry a cocunut 3000 knoticle miles, and still make it ashore, and the coconut intake with juices and all?
Oh god I gotta rent Monty Python again, thanks guys.. :lol

Depends on the mnissle. Sidewinder goes something around mach 3 and the harpoon i think it was is mach 5. Amram 3.5 i think. normally around mach 3-2 i say.

It depends on how the coconuts are gripped.

doh.:)

Of interest, the Phoenix AIM-54C does 5 mach. Because of its interesting flight profile (ballistic trajectory up to 100,000 feet) for maximum range, it is probably going pretty fast still when it hits.
-
Its not a matter of where 'e GRIPS it.It a matter of air to weight ratio.
Hehe Rent it my ass.I OWN that one.Buy it.You wont regret it.:lol

Truthfully...A US Navy SM-2 (Standard Missile) Launched from the Mk 41 VLS reaches Mach 3 by the time it leaves the launch cell.

Imagine that 2 coconuts tethered together and then mounted near the base of the missile. Perhaps even placed in a sack and tied to the base of the missle. See if you can picture that configuration in your mind.

Arming time 0,5 seconds, 4 second fuse, mishandling can lead to catastrophic long-term effects.
