Some terrific games from what was a wonderful gaming system have simply been forgotten over the years.
It seems the bulk of the games released today are either:
1) First Person Shooter
2) Sports
3) First Person Shooter in a Sporting Arena.
One of the simplest and yet most fun games I played on C64 was a game called M.U.L.E.
Anyone else remember this one?
-
nope...
but it seems that a good deal of the game shelf also includes strategy games (real time and turn based), simulators (from flight sims, to company sims, to people sims), and role playing games. You haven't forgotten those have you?
-
i remember Beach Head 1 & 2
Ghostbusters
and Conflict Vietnam
-
Beach Head 2...
"Medic!!!"
Hehe....
Now tell me you remember "Mail order Monsters" and I'll be impressed.
-
did you ever play "Figure It"?
-
Castle Wolfenstein
Fort apacalypse

Mig Alley Ace. Split screen head to head dogfighting. Buddy used to wonder how I always knew when to go evasive.

I remember playing Cabal and F/A18 on my C64. Flying around San Francisco, under the GG Bridge and down Market Street is what started my addiction to flight games.

M.U.L.E. One of the best games ever made! My wife and I still play it a couple time a year. Been looking for a decent version for Windows on the Internet since 95.
Anyone ever complete The Sword of Fargoal? Once I got the sword, I could never make it back to the first level.

I still have three C64's in my garage that I pull out once in a while, but lately I've been using a C64 emulator for Windows.
You can find the emulator at: http://www.computerbrains.com/ccs64/
You can also find M.U.L.E. and a few hundred other games at:
