here's how you play, i'll start by naming a song, then next person who posts gives another song with a word in the SONG TITLE ONLY that is the same.
example of a good run:
Alive - Peral Jam
Love Alive - Heart
Love Song - Tesla
I Write the Songs - Barry Mantilow
example of a bad run:
Alive - Pearl Jam
Love Alive - Heart
Heart of Glass - Blondie
notice the second example used the artist... breaks the loop.
only song titles please.
I'll start it off wiht an easy one:
Elderly Woman Behind the Counter In a Small Town - Pearl Jam
-
Behind Blue Eyes - The Who

In my junior english class we were supposed to read/study Rhime of the Acient Mariner for like 3 weeks. I brought in Powerslave to show to the teacher the 2nd day of it. He zeroxed the lyrics, and played the tape for all his classes, and we spent 3 days on it instead. Then he even put out an invitation for anyone to bring in any other litterary based music. IIRC we even got to listen to For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica in class :)

WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME -- Hank
(http://www.theconnection.org/content/2003/01/02/hank173.jpg )
Well, Why Don't You Love Me like you used to do
How come you treat me like a worn out shoe
My hair's still curly and my eyes are still blue

"Well, Why Don't You Love Me like you used to do
How come you treat me like a worn out shoe
My hair's still curly and my eyes are still blue
Why Don't You Love Me Like You Used To Do."
Hank sure was a master! "My bucket's got a hole in it " probably rivals it though.. :)
-
My bucket's got a hole in it
My bucket's got a hole in it
My bucket's got a hole in it
I can't buy no beer
Fantastic!

-
All I need is a miracle - Mike and the mechanics

Looks like Nuke followed "All my Lovin'" by the Fab Four with "My bucket's got a hole in it" by Hank (the master) "Bucket" always brings a tear as it is truly a sad tale.
"All I Need" does not follow "My bucket's got a hole in it"
Nuke, you forgot to post his picture, which is the tradition one must follow when mentioning the Father of Country Music, an inductee in the R & R Hall of Fame. (inducted due to his influence in laying one of the cornerstones of R & R)

Yeah, I messed up the whole sequence by posting just after Nash, so I was having a little fun at your expense.
By the rules, the game should continue from the last song posted bt Nash
'Gimmie Axfelia' - Queen Bees-

Terpentine,
and dandelion wine,
I turn the corner I'm doin fine.
Shootin at the birds on the telephone line,
pickin em off with this gun of mine.
Got a fire in my belly
got a fire in my head,
I'm goin higher an higher
Untill I'm dead.
The sun shines bright,
On my ol' Kentucky home,
Where the young kids crawl
on the floor.
The sun shines bright
on my ol' Kentucky home,
keep them hard times
away from my door.
Brother Gene
was big and mean
an' he didn't have much to say.
Had a little woman that he whooped each day,
but now she's gone away.
He got drunk last night
kicked momma down the stairs,
but I'm allright,
cause I'm OK
The sun shines bright,
on my ol' Kentucky home,
And the young kids roll on the floor.
The sun shines bright on my old Kentucky home,
keep them hard times away from my door.
That's an old Ry Cooder song. I lost that LP years ago, wish I could find 'Boomer's Story' again. That was one of his first albums. Good stuff.

Looks like until a song with the word "Starman" in the title, and not a portion of the word, is posted, this may be it.

example of a good run:
Alive - Peral Jam
Love Alive - Heart
Love Song - Tesla
I Write the Songs - Barry Mantilow
his example show a paritial word as good enough
edit: one 2nd glance, maybe you are right - I broke the rule earlier if that is the case
-
Holden, we have been going on the word just being in there, like a song with the word "GO" then the next person says something with "GOing" works....

there you go again Karaya :p

So all this time I have been trying to work in Hanks "Jambalaya" to finally have the last word, and soomebody could follow with Layla by Derek and the Dominos?

no that example wouldn't work... notice go going 2 variations on the same base word.
personally I would put starman and stardog as both deritaves of star, and be ok to use....
I would follow your hank with the carpenters jambalaya anyway :p
