Title: Anyone else think Blackouts occur more often now?
Post by: AKDejaVu on January 17, 2000, 12:37:00 AM
I was flying last night and noticed I was pushing blackouts more often than I seem to remember doing in the past.  I thought it was just that I was flying a little faster until my squadmate made the same observation.

Has anyone else noticed this?  If so.. anyone know what was changed?  Is it in the blackout side or is it that planes are actually doing more G's in turns now?

I flew in F4u, C.205, N1k and Spit.  My wingman also flew a P-51.  I noticed it in all of them.

The g limits on black outs have not changed. Funny thing is iv'e been in the f4 and had the opposit perception. Im not sure what's making it appear to be blacking out more.
