Title: Vid Card For 2nd Machine
Post by: FOGOLD on August 07, 2004, 02:43:51 AM
My work machine is a Celery 800 running at 100 Mhz FSB 512 Mb Ram and a Geforce FX 5200 64 Mb vid card. I sometimes play multiplayer games with my family, but obviously it is pretty crappy except for Counterstrike or the first Age Of Empires.

Would it be worth putting a faster video card in this machine or is it not worth it with that CPU?

I can hardly justify a new machine here as it is only for work mostly., though one day I will change it.

Thanks;)

A new vid card will probably not help with that processor. Processor speed has alot to do with how your vid card will perform.

might look into getting a faster Celery chip, how much the mobo will support, what they cost, etc
