Title: wish the pony's nose wouldnt nose up on me

should'nt have to hold the stick down all the time in level flight at normal cruise, a/c shout hold fairly level, with less effort to keep nose down, its really bad at speed above 400;)

Dang fella, didn't anyone show you how to trim the elevators?

Trim will require constant adjustment over the full speed range, but if you're cruising, trimming for hands-off flight is easy enough. If you'd rather not be bothered with trimming, just hit auto-level. If the plane won't maintain auto-level, recalibrate your stick.

My regards,

I think his point is that combat trim really doesn't work so good in the P-51 anymore, and he's right.

Manually triming in AH is a major PITA since the control forces in my desktop joystick never change.

exaclty my point:)

it doesnt work very well, try it out, upp p51d with 75% fuel no bombes no rockets, take it up to 5-6 thousand feet, auto trim on, take auto level off and watch the nose climb.

ps i recalibrate ten times a night because i think its my stick
