You can clock your 2500 to 3200 speeds all day long and remain stable. The 3200+ is the last in the long barton line and its dying fast. Dont waste your money.

I think an AH programming solution for disabling gamma setting tinkerers is impossible, it is done thru windows at the operating system/vid card setting level.

Just a wild guess, but I think he was referring to the gamma adjustment in the game.

Wouldn't matter what you did with the in-game gamma adjustment, they could always just change their vid card settings in windows before entering.

People have this weird fantasies about gaming fun that somehow exotic, abnormal environmental conditions will add to realism and fun.

I play IL2/FB/AEP on a normal basis and can't believe the frustration I have to go through to find a decent gaming room. Dusk, dawn, night, poor visibility, rainstorms, super fog, super ack fire, etc etc....

But the bare truth is 90% of normal operations were literally under "normal" conditions - daylight, acceptable visibility, good weather.

Harsh weather, storm, extreme fog, night time and etc. abnormal environmental conditions were reasons to cancel flight operations. Night time was a theater for specialized planes operating in pitch-black darkness equipped with special gadgets and gizmos.

Sometimes(like maybe once a month in my case), fighting in night time or storm fronts can be fun, but having it as a regular part of arena gameplay just simply cuts down my playtime significantly.

Primarily, those that want night back are Bomber jocks who want a 'free-pass' to their targets where they have a much less chance of getting their arse shot off by fighters. In that sense they are supported by WW2 reality. The British operated their bomber fleet entirely at night after the US entered the war for that very reason. Their bombers lacked the defensive weaponry and long-range escort to bomb during daylight when they were apt to be intercepted by fighters.

So, if you are a bomber jock night is great, for everyone else it's a time to go play another game or screw with your gamma settings and shorten the life of your monitor.

Honestly with Nite I couldnt care less. If its night in the MA when I log on, I just log off and come back in 20 minutes or so.

Frankly Im sick of hearing people b1tch and moan about every dam thing. You can't just be happy with what is on your plate?

Edit: I beleive you eat what you got in front of you or you can just go hungry. Either way stfu and do one or the other. I'm sorry if thats a little too blunt for some of you ladies. And if you dont like it you know what you can do. 8)

Sold my bike about 3 months ago. No time to ride it and have been working on another toy too much to have time for anything else.

But it was fun riding on one tire until 120 or so. :)

I mean it would be one thing if you were on line 24/7. Then and only then would I consider you a good candidate to pass judgement.

I'm not saying I'm any better. I have played probably 2 hours this month. Dont know and dont care. Either way I'm still no better to judge. And I play the game.

HT' has said it himself. He does not work on polls. I dont need to tell you this you can read it for yourself in past threads of this kind.

With that being said, what did you plan to do with this information/results once you closed the polling? I mean honestly. Put it in your pipe and smoke it? Because thats all its really good for. And I doubt the flavor would very enjoyable.

I'm all for complete realism. And hey, flying in harsh conditions is a good way to improve your fair weather flying skills. And all I can say about night mode is that it's fun. Very fun.
