Title: P47 D30 - D40 What are the differences
Post by: Beans101 on August 11, 2004, 08:23:33 PM
 In Aces High I, we had the P47 D30 which was a great plane, could carry lots of ammo, ordinance etc...  but now we have the P47 D40 which looks the same and seems like it performs the same and carries the same ordinance loadout that the old D30 carries.  All im wondering is Y did they change it from D30 to D40 if everything stayed the same??

It was mislabeled as D30 in AH1. It was a D40.

it was mislabled as said... but the biggest difference between a d30 and d40 was the addition of a fillet in front of the tail on the d40 for more stability.

D30 still had the MK VIII gunsight, while the D40 had the K14. On the field, at the D40s availability, the D30s got retro-fited with the dorsal filet, as Shane said.

Some sources say the D40 is the factory production varient of the D30's feild modifications, and then some.
