Title: Tanks rolling over--this is getting old
Post by: coyo on August 11, 2004, 11:46:29 PM
What is up with trees causing tanks to flip over???

I am so sick of driving 20 min to a target then bumping a tree and having my tank turn upside-down?

this is rediculous.

I hope it will be fixed soon.

Thanks

coyo

Obviously trees planeted by the enemy.

Yeah, this is a tad rediculous.  GV's have a couple collision issues.  Like being able to fly down a hill at 150mph and hit the bottom with nothing happening except stopping instantly.  Same thing with road convoys, you bounce when hit by them.

Guys... they are rubber trees.  Rubber trees are bouncy.  Maybe they are flubber trees....

Flubber trees are what I called them in the CT after gently nudging one with my LVT and getting thrown 100+ feet back, tranny whinning with the overrev.

I actually got bounced up in the air, and was sitting on top of the bottom layer of trees, after hitting one of the flubber trees.  It was kinda neat, except then I got strafed and lost my turret.  I was gonna sit up there and ambush people.

One time my m16 got flipped on its side on this steep hill.  I was able to slide down the hill and hit another tree which made me upright again.  Fun times.

Or like when you drive into an enemy VH to spawn camp them and you hit a hangar wall you just flip over. Not cool.
