My father just bought one of the laptops.
I'm still not entirely sold on it...but I haven't had a chance to "play" anything yet.
They use the DDD technology:
Dynamic Digital Depth (http://www.ddd.com/)

Does it work for everything? What I mean do programs need to support a certain type of software or something? Or does the monitor just make everything leap out at you? Would be fun playing Doom 3 in the dark that way. :p

Some programs work better than others.
I was chatting with Chris Yewdal (CEO of DDD) the other day and asked him about how this would work with say...Aces High. He said the problem with on-line gaming would be the delay in processing the data from 2D to 3D which could cause Frame Rate hits and lag. It would work...question is "how well"?
I am going to load up AH on the laptop while my father is away, if I have time.
I'll let you know.
