I thought Stream said he had a mission planned for tonight?

If he doesn't we can organize one on the fly at 10pm EDT tonight.

Maybe do a tactical airstrike, with USN aircraft, to soften the beach defenses for the Marines.   F6fs and Avengers launched from the CV.  Maybe we can reveal the target Island but not the specific "beachhead" to allow the IJ to setup a defense.

880 will be flying Allied tonight.  Who else we got?  Anybody gonna be flying Axis?  Thinking 3:2 odd in favor of the Allies would be good.

Two fleets steam for A40 (reset to pre-approved starting locations by a staffer). Allies defend A40. Axis invade. Fleets look for each other via air units (assisted on Allied side by shore elements form A40). Japanese fleet is supported by A30.

What time will you be in the arena tonight?  880 prefers to fly Allied but will do what's necessary to make the mission fun for all involved.

Would be a good idea Arlo, but a plan destined to fail if you are relying on the CT staff to be involved in any way.

Better off having two high ranking guys go to the arena now and take control of two fleets and move them to a good starting position.

BTW, if I was on the staff I would definitely be there to see the arena could be setup for the mission. :aok

Argh! No, man. Just wanna be part of the loop and try to help promo. Have something up and visible and accessible for all AH players to check out type of thang. No specific details ... just area of battle, time, basic goals. :D

Its a lot of work for STREAMS guys to put in week to week. If someone else has some ideas , step up and take a shot at it.

Not knocking that either. But I sure as hell ain't callin' for step-downs or anything like that. I'm all for any and everyone willing to organize missions to organize things .... alot. I just wanna promote the show, man. Promoter. That's the contribution I wanted to make .... and have been trying to make (in vain). :D

Hey Arlo, I will put the orders for last thursday up on my website... it will be under recent OP Orders.  Just so you can see on my end what  we have been doing.

Just so you know, me and my Planning team sits down on Sunday night and figures out what we are going to do on thursday.... we are usually in the TA, before or after practice.

880 is willing to post next week's mission if it's ok with you guys?

Able to have something formal up on Monday.  Maybe get a poll of who want to fly what to get some rough numbers.

Or are you handling this week Arlo?

I'll promote the hell outa whatever you guys come up with. I know both sides don't need specific details but generalities, a battle map, a time and date ... along with the general data I'll already have up (planeset, terrain, arena settings) may help go a long ways to draw some new blood (ptp).

Maybe a catchy mission title and some graphics. Historical wav files. Something to really set the mood (and maybe even offer some educational insight on the actual historical event .... or even alternate historical event ... that the CT event is based on).

That type of stuff.

Come one, come all type of stuff.

Greatest show on AH Earth type stuff.
