Title: Julia Child passes away
Post by: Drifter1234 on August 13, 2004, 10:31:02 AM
Julia Child died today at 91.

In addition to being the mother of all TV cooking shows,  she served in the OSS during WW2.

I heard she choked on a french fry.

Seriously, if she was that fat and made it to 91, I have about 50 more years of Aces High coming.   :)

I can not remember her not ever having an alcoholic drink in her hand. I believe that was the key to her longivity.

I will live to a 120 then.

That's true bless her soul. The only thing I ever remember from seeing her on TV was that she prefered beer over wine.

Oh well, she's toasting over good grub with Mr Rogers now.

Winston Churchill drank 2 bottles of cognac every week, and one presumes copious quantities of wine. He was in his 91st year when he died - same age as Julia Child.
