A country is backed into the corner. Rather than fight it out, they have guys defect to the attacking country to eliminate the good planes. If for nothing else, than to just pee in their cornflakes.

Not heard a whisper of this, but I wasn't flying rook.   Other teams are cool with the juvenile stuff being pulled - though some guys go way over the top.  One guy was very open about  leaving a knight "radar" account up as he flew rook yada yadda.  

Sure some of us are old as the trees in flight sims, but don't forget to a large degree we are dealing with kids here.  It is not surprising that you see anything.  But I wouldn't "set my watch" by it.
