Post by: eskimo2 on August 14, 2004, 10:20:44 PM: [SIZE=8]A lot of folks are complaining about not being able to always get the plane of their choice. While this totally sucks, it is not even half of the problem.

The bigger problem is that it has just become much harder to find fights where the enemy is so outnumbered that I can cherry pick and kill steal. :mad: I mean, in the good-ol-days (last week) I used to follow the herd from high on my perch in my El-Gay-Seven, look for enemy planes that were totally defensive or already flaming wrecks tumbling out of the sky, zoom in, spray and pray, and climb away. With this new stupid patch 8 balance thing I am totally screwed! :mad: How the heck am I supposed to get any kills without the fastest plane, some serious E, and a huge country numbers advantage? I thought about switching sides, but I’m so loyal to my country (because we always have numbers) and I just can’t imagine flying on a side with fewer players… I mean that would just suck. I’m sure that other folks enjoy being at a total disadvantage all of the time, but why the heck should I? After all, it’s my $15. I should be able to have every possible advantage all of the time! :mad: Make everyone else suffer!

HTC, bring back the gang-bang MA! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!! :mad:

Yes a lot of people are loyal to Rooks and will not switch sides. Those of you Bishknittards that run over to Rooks when we have numbers are not so loyal. Yet we get penalized for their actions?

Balance my ass! So let me get this straight now. The country with fewer numbers now gets cheap perk planes and can run all over Rookdom in them and now we can't up anything to take them out? Thats retarded.

Let's not even go into HQ raids. Strike that, lets. Can't tell if a radar con is going to A12 or HQ (NDIsle map) by the time we can tell it's otw to HQ and at 30k and we can't up 163. Yeah, that's balance for you.

The problem isn't an imbalace in planes, it's the imbalance of players. Now HiTech is telling us to switch sides to get our planes back? Ok, now im confused.

Bottom line is, limit the playes ability to country swap, not limit the planes of a country.

This will only ensure number imbalances. The best way to ensure balanced numbers, and thus plane availbaity, is to make side switiching as easy as possible.
